Online Courses

For Assessors, IQAs and Trainers

ATDirect has been delivering online courses for Assessors, IQAs and Trainers for over 12 years.  The courses lead to nationally accredited qualifications at Levels 3 and 4.

While the majority of our corporate and individual clients have, in the past, preferred the interactive ‘human’ nature of face-to-face group training, online training has always come with the following advantages:

    • ultimate flexibility in terms of how much you do, when and where
    • environmental and cost benefits – less or no travel time

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to pursue an online qualification or if you have any questions.  We are open-for-business as usual and offer online training for individuals or small groups.

FAQs

What is the practical 'performance' aspect of the qualification?

Each qualification (Assessor, IQA, Trainer) has a practical ‘performance’ aspect.  This work is undertaken by the Learner after the Online Tutoring Calls and before the Submission of Evidence.

Your Tutor/Assessor will take you through the requirements – they differ depending on the qualification you are pursuing – and will help you plan your practicals.  You can contact the Tutor/Assessor at any time with any questions.

I'm socially isolated and/or my Centre is shut down - can I do the practical aspect of the qualification?

It may (or may not) be possible to complete the practical aspect of your qualification during the Covid-19 lockdown period.  This largely depends on what work you do, what you are competent to assess, and who you are socially isolated with.  Discuss this with your ATDirect Tutor/Assessor.

The worst case is that you will be able to complete the knowledge & understanding (K&U) part of the qualification, and complete the practical part when lockdown restrictions have eased.

I don't like video calls - can we do the tutoring by phone?

Many prefer at least a video call introduction but, yes, that is entirely your preference… although you will need to prove that you are who you say you are, and you will need to prove that the work you submit is your own.

Will I get personal support or will I just be interacting with a computer/bot?

With ATDirect you get full personal support from the start to finish. Calls have to be arranged as your Tutor/Assessor is not available 24/7, but we will accommodate your requirements wherever possible.

Which Units should I take?

This largely depends on whether you have already achieved any relevant Units, and what you want to do with the qualification… call us to discuss. If you’re thinking of doing both the Assessor and Trainer qualifications, we will recommend the Units that are common to both qualifications to keep your overall workload down.

When can I start?

Call us on 0800 088 6058 and we’ll answer any final questions you have, then we’ll get the ball rolling… now is a great time to gain qualifications to boost your earning potential when ‘normal’ life resumes.

Who Awards the Certificates?

Your certificate is awarded by NCFE, a nationally-recognised Awarding Body for the Assessor, IQA and Trainer qualifications.

What does the course cost include?

The cost includes all pre-course preparation and materials, training, Awarding Body (NCFE) registration fee, Centre admin fee, portfolio, personal on-going support & guidance through to qualification, and certification.

Whatever your occupation and wherever you are based, our friendly team will be happy to discuss your requirements and answer any questions
