Level 3 Certificate In Problem Solving in Community Safety
Overall Objective for the Qualification
The Level 3 Certificate in Problem Solving in Community Safety is aimed at those who have a responsibility for problem solving within Community Safety and Crime Reduction Partnerships across England and Wales.
There are no pre-entry requirements for enrolling to complete this qualification. However, learners will require suitable literacy and numeracy skills to achieve the assessment criteria.
Units and Rules of Combination
There are 10 units for this qualification which have been arranged into mandatory and optional groups. Learners must achieve all the mandatory units in Group A and at least one unit from optional Group B.
Mandatory Units (Group A)
Contribute to developing awareness and community action in relation to crime
Address problems identified with community safety and social exclusion
Develop and sustain effective working with staff in other agencies
Optional Units (Group B)
Manage a budget for own area or activity of work
Contribute to strategies for promoting community justice and social inclusion
Plan and manage a project
Develop and implement marketing plans
Plan, implement and manage the sharing of knowledge and good practice to inform innovation and improve service delivery
Plan, implement and manage systems for the exchange of sensitive information, data and intelligence
