The Level 4 IQA Award is the recognised qualification for IQAs working in any occupation, in both the public and private sector.  The qualification covers the skills, knowledge and understanding you need if you are practising (or want to practice) as an Internal Quality Assurer.

We also deliver the Level 4 IQA ‘Certificate’ for those who lead a team of IQAs.

IN-HOUSE COURSES

For companies & organisations with groups of trainees

A 1 day IQA course is delivered for two or more trainees at a time and place of your choosing anywhere in the United Kingdom.

£595+VAT per head for a group of 4

£645+VAT per head for a group of 3

£695+VAT per head for a group of 2

Prices quoted above are for the L4 ‘Award’.

Add £295 + VAT for the L4 ‘Certificate’ (for Lead IQAs). You must be in the role of Lead or Deputy Lead IQA to gather the evidence required to complete the ‘Certificate’.

In-house courses at a venue of your choice can be delivered in line with the current Covid-19 restrictions.

ONLINE COURSES

For individuals or small groups looking for flexible/convenient training

Training is delivered online via email and integrated Skype sessions and is both flexible and convenient.  The training is driven by your own timetable and can be broken up into bite-sized sessions to fit around busy home and work commitments.

These are regular, 1 day IQA courses in key locations around the UK, including London, Birmingham and Manchester. Training is in small groups and for people from any occupation.  Just pick a date and location and get in touch!

Who is this course aimed at?

The IQA ‘Award’ course is aimed at people practising (or wanting to practice) as an internal quality assurer.

The IQA ‘Certificate’ course is aimed at Lead IQAs.

What are the Course Entry Requirements?

There are no entry or qualification requirements for the IQA courses.  We do, however, recommend that the online training route is best-suited to people with some experience of quality assurance.

What is the structure of this qualification?

The Level 4 IQA ‘Award’ comprises 2 units of competence:

  1. Understand the principles and practice of internally assuring the quality of assessment
  2. Internally assure the quality of assessment

Both units are mandatory.

The Level 4 IQA ‘Certificate’ comprises 3 units of competence:

  1. Understand the principles and practice of internally assuring the quality of assessment
  2. Internally assure the quality of assessment
  3. Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility

All units are mandatory.

What do I have to do to get qualified?

  • 1 day training course
  • 4 practical assessments – the first 2 assessments take place on the training course day.
  • Gather evidence for your Portfolio of Evidence (with our personal support as required).

How is the Course Assessed?

You are assessed on the basis of a Portfolio of Evidence.  You will be allocated an Assessor who will support you through the process of gathering evidence for your portfolio.

How Long Does it Take to Get Qualified?

If getting qualified is a priority for you, it is possible to be certificated 3 weeks after you’ve completed the 1 day training course.

Who Awards the Certificates?

Your certificate is awarded by NCFE, a nationally-recognised Awarding Body for the Assessor, IQA and Trainer qualifications.

What does the course cost include?

The cost includes all pre-course preparation and materials, training, Awarding Body (NCFE) registration fee, Centre admin fee, portfolio, personal on-going support & guidance through to qualification, and certification.

Are there other IQA Qualifications?

No, there are just the 2 qualifications for IQAs.
