PRIVACY POLICY

At ATDirect, we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

We may change this Policy from time to time so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you’re happy with any changes. By using our website, you’re agreeing to be bound by this Policy.

Who are we?

ATDirect Ltd is a professional training provider offering training courses leading to nationally accredited qualifications. ATDirect is a registered NCFE Approved Centre (no. 8466985) and company limited by shares (no. 07868998). The registered address is Slade Barton Offices, Honiton, Devon EX14 3HR.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when, for example, you contact us about our courses using our webforms, you book a course, give us feedback about a course, or if you register to receive our newsletter.

What type of information is collected from you?

We draw a distinction between those who make general enquiries about our courses/qualifications and those who book and register on a course.  Where a general enquiry is made, the personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address and telephone number. If you book on a course, we will ask you for more detailed information including occupation, relevant qualifications and some equal opportunities data.  If you book and pay for a course using our online booking system, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

How is your information used?

We may use your information to:

  • reply to your requests for information about our courses;
  • process a course booking that you have made;
  • register you with our Awarding Organisation(s) who carry out quality assurance and certification of our qualifications;
  • issue you with training and qualification guidance materials;
  • notify you of training arrangements;
  • issue your certificate;
  • seek your views or comments on the courses we provide;
  • notify you of changes to our courses/training;
  • send you communications which may be of interest and where you have given prior consent. These may include marketing information about relevant courses/qualifications, or news.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We will hold your information on our systems for as long as is necessary.  Where you have made a general enquiry, we will hold your data for no longer than 1 year.  Where you are a registered candidate for a qualification, we are required to hold your information in line with our Awarding Organisations’ requirements which is normally a minimum of 3 years after certificate issue, for quality assurance purposes.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you (for example to process payments, register you for a qualification, and send you mailings). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service.

We may also pass your information on to third parties if we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of our business and assets to any third party or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation. However, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

What choices do you have?

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about our courses/qualifications, you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes on the form(s) we use to collect your information.

We will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have given your prior consent. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us by email webenquiries@assessortrainingdirect.co.uk.

How can you access and update your information?

The accuracy of your information is important to us.  If you change email address, or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at webenquiries@assessortrainingdirect.co.uk, or write to us at: ATDirect, Slade Barton Offices, Honiton, Devon EX14 3HR.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you at any time, which we will provide free of charge.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information?

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely and is protected from unauthorised access, disclosure, use, alteration or destruction.  As an Approved Centre, we are subject to regular external verification by Awarding Organisation(s) which includes scrutiny of our security practices covering data storage, processing, back-up, accuracy and erasure.

Details transmitted normally over the internet can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
